Signature rehabilitation programme

The REGAIN Signature Programme

Change how your dog feels, not just how they behave.

Ten individual 90-minute sessionsApproximately 4–5 months

When your dog’s fear, reactivity or other behavioural difficulties begin affecting everyday life, a few training exercises often aren’t enough.

Perhaps you’re constantly planning walks around other dogs, worrying about visitors, or trying to prevent the next reaction. You might have tried different approaches, but still feel like you’re managing the behaviour rather than making lasting progress.

REGAIN is my most comprehensive rehabilitation programme.

Over ten individually tailored sessions, we’ll work on your dog’s nervous-system wellbeing, changing their emotional responses and developing practical skills that help them cope with the world differently.

We’ll work together at your dog’s pace, with continued guidance, a personalised rehabilitation plan and support between appointments.

Is this you and your dog?

Who is REGAIN for?

REGAIN is for dogs whose difficulties are shaping everyday life, for them and for you.

Whatever you’ve tried so far, you’ve been doing your best with what you knew. You don’t need to have done everything right before asking for support.

  • Barking, lunging or reacting towards dogs, people, traffic or movement
  • Fear and anxiety affecting everyday life
  • Freezing, withdrawing or shutting down
  • Resource guarding, aggression or a bite history
  • Several difficulties at once that need more comprehensive support
Inside the programme

What will we actually work on?

Rehabilitation is more than a set of exercises. These are the four connected areas we work across.

  1. Understanding the whole dog

We begin with a detailed assessment covering their experiences, physical wellbeing, daily routines, environment, communication and relationships.

This helps me build a personalised rehabilitation plan around what’s actually happening for your individual dog.

  2. Supporting nervous-system wellbeing

We’ll look at reducing unnecessary pressures, improving opportunities for rest and recovery, meeting natural needs and making everyday experiences more manageable.

This continues throughout the programme, alongside the practical behaviour work.

  3. Changing emotional responses

We’ll gradually work towards helping your dog feel differently about situations they currently find difficult. That might mean becoming more comfortable observing other dogs at an appropriate distance, or creating safer, more predictable experiences around visitors.

We use choice, appropriate distances, positive experiences and practical skills rather than forcing dogs into situations they aren’t ready for.

  4. Putting progress into everyday life

We’ll build on the work across real environments and situations, adjusting the rehabilitation plan as we go.

Progress isn’t always linear. A setback doesn’t mean everything we’ve worked towards has disappeared.

These areas overlap and continue throughout. They aren’t stages to complete in order.

What could progress look like?

We want more than a dog who behaves differently. We want a dog who feels differently.

For your dog, that might mean

  • Watching another dog at a comfortable distance without immediately reacting.
  • More sniffing and exploring instead of constantly scanning.
  • Recovering more easily after difficult experiences.
  • Feeling more comfortable in familiar situations.
  • Making choices that help them move away from something worrying.

And for you

  • Knowing when your dog needs support.
  • Feeling more confident making decisions.
  • Understanding what to do when things don’t go to plan.

Every dog’s progress is their own, and I can’t guarantee specific outcomes. What I can promise is that the work will be shaped around your dog and adjusted as we go.

From my field notes

Bosco

Bosco is a young Patterdoodle who used to become highly excited and react towards other dogs. Over time, he made progress towards being able to watch other dogs without lunging.

My work focused on understanding what he found difficult and finding practical ways to support him in real life.

“We’ve seen noticeable improvements in our dog’s focus, confidence, and ability to stay regulated around other dogs. Just as important, we feel more confident handling these situations ourselves.”Bosco’s guardian

Why ten sessions?

Rehabilitation isn’t always a straight line.

Ten sessions give us time to work across different difficulties and environments, review how your dog is responding, work through setbacks and adapt the plan, rather than rushing through a fixed training plan.

You aren’t just buying ten appointments.

You’re receiving individual, ongoing rehabilitation, a programme that evolves with your dog, and my continued support while you learn to support your dog yourself.

RESET or REGAIN?

Two programmes. Different levels of support.

RESET

£600

Five tailored sessions focused on supporting nervous-system wellbeing, emotional recovery and beginning practical foundations for change. It’s a complete programme in its own right.

Explore RESET

REGAIN

£1,500

Ten sessions providing more extensive rehabilitation across different difficulties and environments, a personalised rehabilitation plan, printed workbook and continued private Voxer support.

Both programmes are individually tailored and include Facebook community access. Some dogs may benefit from RESET. Others need the broader scope of REGAIN from the beginning.

RESET is not compulsory before REGAIN.

Aftercare

Support doesn’t stop at your final session.

  • Three months of continued private Voxer support after you complete REGAIN.
  • Optional graduate follow-up sessions for £100 each, paid separately.

My aim is for you to leave feeling confident and independent in supporting your dog, knowing you can still reach out when you need to.

Ready to begin?

You don’t need to have all the answers before reaching out.

During your free 30-minute Google Meet Discovery Call, we’ll discuss what’s been happening, what you’ve already tried and what you’d like to change.

I’ll recommend whether REGAIN is the right support for you and your dog.
